All hail the Commander in Chief!

Tuesday, August 31st, 2010

Our fearless leader and CEO, Kristi Atkins, was recently selected as “Professional Woman of the Year” by the Board of Directors of the National Association of Professional Women.

Kristi is not one to brag (unless it’s about her beloved Georgia Bulldogs), but we figured this was an accolade that had to be mentioned.

Kristi, you rock and you deserve it. Congrats!

Grab your umbrella – we had another shower…

Thursday, April 22nd, 2010

For the second time in a few weeks, we had yet another shower at the aim office. This time, it was a baby shower instead of a wedding shower.

Mark and his wife, as well as Kara and her husband, are both expecting little ones in the coming weeks – so for the rest of us, it meant an hour to eat high-calorie food and drink Kristi’s famous punch (sans alcohol…or so she says..)

Either way, we want to congratulate both couples!

a|i|m Wedding!

Tuesday, October 6th, 2009

We started dating in January 2005, after having been introduced by mutual friends, 3 months prior.  On my birthday last year, after 3 ½ years full of laughter, Justin asked me to marry him.  Deciding where to have our wedding was pretty easy; Justin’s family lives in Albuquerque, NM and my Mother lives in Taos, NM. We quickly decided that accommodating our family was the best route to take. Once that decision was made we spent the next 16 months planning our wedding for September 13th, 2009.  Justin was a rare Groom in that he helped every step of the way. He designed everything and it really set the mood for the rest of the details. We took a laid back approach to the wedding planning, ignoring traditions and zeroing in on who we are. Our best friend, Chris, officiated. Our little black pug, Leelu Dallas Multipass,  was our Ring Barer and was walked down the aisle by our Flower Girl and niece, Reagan. Instead of a sit down meal with assigned seating we had Tapas and encouraged mingling. Instead of a traditional wedding cake we had 5 flavors of mini cupcakes. Our close friend, Jen, even made cake toppers for us; a little Sasha, little Justin and even a little Leelu!

Times are tough so we were concerned that few would be able to make it out to New Mexico for the wedding. Several of our closest friends were able to attend so we made it an action packed wedding weekend with the culmination being our Wedding Day. After days of rain off and on, Sunday arrived beautiful with the sun shining. The day went off without a hitch and we 80’s danced the night away. In the end, Sasha von Holck & Justin Hanna became Mr. & Mrs. Von Hanna!

Now we will live happily ever after in Cabbagetown, in our home filled with love and laughter. – Sasha

College Football Country

Tuesday, September 22nd, 2009

We’re happy to announce that we have been working on a brand new project called “College Football Country.” In conjunction with MRN and Fishbait Marketing, CFC is a weekly radio show highlighting college football – the cool thing is that each week, the show is co-hosted by a different country music artist.

It is chock-full of segments, including flashbacks to great games, “where are they now?” segments, plus features on tailgating and restaurants to hit while on the road to the big game!

Although the show just took off, some great guests, including Josh Tuner, Phil Vassar, Mark Richt and Vince Dooley, as well as the Deen Brothers (who highlighted a great tailgating recipe) have all participated. Be sure to check your local MRN affiliate and catch the show each Saturday morning!

Sound the horns and release the doves!

We are very proud to announce that our very own Kristi Atkins (a.k.a. The Boss) has just been named President of the Atlanta chapter of Women In Sports and Events (WISE).

Founded in 2004, WISE is the leading voice and resource for women in the sports and events industry.  The Atlanta chapter is one of just seven in the country and has a very active membership group dedicated to providing networking opportunities and career resources to all participants.  “I’m excited about working with the rest of our board members as we continue to grow as an organization and provide as many opportunities as possible to assist all of our members reach their professional goals,” Kristi said.  “The next couple of years project to be a challenging, yet exciting, time for our industry and I look forward to meeting the challenges ahead.”

Kristi and the entire team of a|i|m ladies have been active WISE members since the company’s inception and we’re proud of her new-found status as a leader wearing the Presidential hats of two organizations.

Good luck, Kristi!

Back to the Track

Monday, March 9th, 2009

This past weekend, the boys of NASCAR made their first of two stops in Atlanta for the 2009 season. Some of the a|i|m team traveled down to the speedway and grabbed a few photos (see below).

It was also the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new a|i|m motorhome. Pictures will be following shortly of that as well, but Mark’s Kodak Fun Saver 35 was left at home this morning…tsk, tsk.

To the new owner of our previous motorhome: please return the two bags of Cooler Ranch Doritos as well as the a|i|m-branded coozies. Thank you.
